Tahoe-Truckee Earth Day Celebration at Hand
Celebrate our region’s beauty and diversity this coming April 22, 2017, in the Village at Squaw Valley. The Tahoe-Truckee Earth Day Festival is a volunteer-run, fun event from 11am to 5pm with food, music and entertainment. Non-profits will have educational booths to share information about forest health, watershed updates, alternative energy and more. It’s the largest eco-event in the Truckee and North Tahoe area. Average attendance has been 5,000 people per year. The organizers will be working to a goal of being a Zero Waste and Carbon Neutral event.
This free Festival will include music and the popular Trashion Show will have creative high school students modeling their ‘garbage-ful’ outfits. Many local sponsors proudly support this annual event.
