The objectives of the project would be to restore the stream bank and wet meadow, provide enhanced habitat for waterfowl, fish and amphibians, and vegetation, and to improve water quality in the river. The proposed restoration project would be a coordinated effort between the U.S. Forest Service, the Truckee River Watershed Council and Placer County. National Environmental Policy documents are in the preparation phase. Comments are being solicited by the Forest Service; the comment period ends December 23, 2014.
