Three North Tahoe – Truckee August Events You Don’t Want To Miss!

The 2018 Lake Tahoe Summer Music Festival, August 21^st  through August 26^th

A 26 piece orchestra gives a free  public rehearsal and then presents 5 days of great music in beautiful outdoor settings in Tahoe City, the Westshore of Lake Tahoe and Truckee. 

Here are the dates and locations;

1. August 21 at 4:00 pm: Tahoe Maritime Museum, Tahoe City
2. August 22 at 6:00 pm: West Shore Café, Homewood
3. August 23 at 6:00 pm: Sugar Pine State Park, Tahoma
4. August 24 at 6:oo pm: West End Beach at Donner Lake, Truckee
5. August 25 at 6:oo pm: Skylandia State Park and Beach, Tahoe City
6. August 26 at 5:oo pm:  PJ’s at Gray’s Crossing, Truckee

Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Tuesdays through Sundays until August 26^th

This year they are doing two different performances.  Some nights it is the Shakespeare tragedy McBeth and some nights the 60’s musical Beehive..  On Monday nights they are offering different concerts.  All performances start at 7:30 pm.  As in past years there will be a number of booths offering a verity of culinary delights.  My advice is to get their early to both get a parking place and enjoy a good dinner in the beautiful setting

The 46^th Annual Lake Tahoe Concourse d’Elegance, August 11^th and 12^th at Obexer’s Boat Company in Homewood

This is the biggest and best display of authentic wooden boats form a bygone era.  The boats are judged on the quality of the restoration that their owners have done to have them look as close to how they looked when shipped new from the factory.  I guarantee that you will see some absolutely amazing wooden  boats,  pieces of art like the Thunderbird.
