Bikers Look Forward to September’s Tahoe Sierra Century Rides
This Tahoe Bike Classic event welcomes all bicyclists to have a fun ride September 17, starting and ending at Squaw Valley. The Tahoe Sierra Century will offer three routes ideal for all levels of experience: a 30-mile, 60-mile, and the 100-mile Century ride.
The 30-mile route, perfect for novices, goes from Squaw Valley to Donner Lake following the Truckee River. Next, the 60-mile follows the same path and then moves on up and over the Donner pass back to Squaw Valley. For the serious biker, the Century ride follows the north shore of Lake Tahoe to Truckee and Donner Lake and up through Donner Summit before heading back to Squaw Valley.
Lunch is provided along the way. Your wristband is admission to dinner, music, and fun at Squaw Valley. All riders are required to wear safety helmets.
This collection of bicycling rides supports school music education with scholarships, instruments, festivals, and honor bands. Registration information is online with complete details.
