Coming to Squaw Valley, Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake, Truckee and Kings Beach, on September 13th, 2014. This bike ride provides the opportunity to be challenged by one of three alternate routes: 30 mile, 60 mile, and 100 mile. The 30-mile route is an easy ride from Squaw Valley to Donner Lake and return. The 60-mile route follows the same route to Donner Lake and then climbs over Donner Pass to Big Bend and returns to Squaw Valley. The 100-mile is, obviously, the most challenging. It begins in Squaw Valley, goes along the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, ascends the Brockway Summit to Truckee and Donner Lake, then climbs Donner Summit to Cisco Grove and returns to Squaw Valley. Snacks are provided at the start and finish of each ride and at rest stops along the way. Lunch is also provided as well as dinner at the end of the ride. Proceeds from this event support the award wining Music Program at the North Tahoe High School in Tahoe City. More information and registration is available at the Tahoe Sierra Century website.
