The first storm of the season delighted us here in Squaw Valley and is building excitement for the winter season! OpenSnow Tahoe reported 16 inches at Northstar and 15 inches of snowfall in Truckee, as well as 10 inches at Squaw Valley and 9 inches at Alpine Meadows – winter has begun!
From this relatively early winter storm ski mountains all over North Tahoe have been able to open, including Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Mount Rose as well as Sierra at Tahoe and Kirkwood down in South Lake.
All this new snow will be sticking around due to colder than average temperatures in the 20s. So bring your family, bring your friends, and learn to ski or ride Squaw Valley’s legendary terrain through the ski school or get outside to go tubing or snowshoeing on this fresh foot of snow!
