A community advisory group was formed, and met over the last year, to evaluate and comment on the Fanny Bridge project in Tahoe City. The participants met with representatives of Tahoe Transportation District (TTD), architects from Wood Rogers and the landscape contractor. One participant in the group (and he emphasizes not an authorized representative) spoke to the Sierra Sun in an opinion letter. He sets forth several of the group’s ideas regarding the proposal. He discusses unique granite features, sidewalks and landscaping to be incorporated into the plan; highway signage; and redesign of turn lanes at the ”wye.” He also discusses the group’s consensus on the various alternatives; however, his comments are best informed by the TTD review of the project.
The Tahoe Transportation District is hosting a public workshop on Thursday, February 26th, 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at the Granlibakken Resort.
