State Parks Assumes Operations of Kings Beach State Recreation Area
The original plan for California State Parks to take over management of Kings Beach State Recreation Area on November 1st has been scrapped, and the new plan is to take over on May 15th. North Tahoe Public Utility District has been responsible for operations of the park since its establishment in 1978. The contract between State Parks and North Tahoe PUD expired December 5, 2008.
