A 2.2 mile extension of the Truckee River Legacy Trail, from west of the Tahoe-Truckee Sanitation Agency to Glenshire, will be christened at a ribbon-cutting ceremony to be held at the Glenshire/Devonshire Monument sign on August 8th at 4:00 pm. Low Water Levels Affect Lake Tahoe Area Businesses
Three consecutive mild, dry winters have resulted in lower than normal water levels in Lake Tahoe and the Truckee River. As of July 22nd, the lake level was a 6,223.98 feet above sea level. The natural rim is 6,223 feet. The water level in the Truckee River was 3.58 feet on July 21st.
