Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn & Residences will be available for advance purchase starting this winter. The exact date has not been announced. The current historic Squaw Valley Inn is scheduled for demolition and the start of construction for the beginning of May 2018 and set to be completed in winter 2019/20. The plan calls for a five story luxury hotel in the present location of the Squaw Valley Inn and then two buildings to the west on Squaw Peak Road. Those buildings will have a total of 34 luxury residences with prices starting at $2,000,000.
This is the first major development at the base of the ski area since the last phase of the existing Village at Squaw Valley that was completed in 2004. It is very likely it will be completed and in use before any of the new buildings in the proposed and approved Village Expansion project has it’s legal issues resolved.
