New Squaw Valley App!
Available now on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, and featured as “Best New Ski App” in WIRED Magazine, this new Squaw Valley and Alpine meadows app is a must have on the mountain for both family and friends. With a built in GPS system to track yourself and others, updated lift queues in real time, a stat tracker, real time webcams and snow conditions, this is the easiest download you will ever make. After bad reviews on their previous app (see the mean tweets video below!), the team at Squaw Valley worked hard to bring something easy to use and beneficial to their visitors.
This app is truly one of a kind and the first to implement individual GPS tracking to make skiing with friends and family absolutely seamless. Now you can watch your friends and family ski down the mountain from anywhere in the palm of your hand. There are also ways to “mark” a certain destination or run and set the app to automatically let anyone in your group know where you are on the mountain, making contact between others on the slopes a lot less frustrating than phone tag! It’s also compatible with Apple Watch, Android Wear, and Pebble for iOS and Android.
Lift tickets are also available for purchase through the app, and the receipts for them are all stored electronically, making records of the trip that much easier. Not only do you get the trail maps with this app, you also get a map of squaw village as well so you can navigate your way both on and off the slopes to make your time at Squaw Valley much easier and less aggravating.
