Northstar

Northstar California (now owed by Vail Resorts) is truly a four-season resort community. Northstar is located halfway between highway 80 and North Lake Tahoe, the Northstar community offers a wide range of mountain living opportunities – from affordable fractional ownerships to the finest of luxury homes, some that are ski in-ski out. In the residential neighborhoods surrounding the village are a mixture of moderately priced (under $1,000,000) single family homes and condominiums as well as some very high priced homes. 

Northstar Mountainside Properties includes several developments all located mid-mountain surrounded by chair lifts with a mixture of luxury town homes, condominiums and fabulous homesites most of which are ski-in-ski out. These include: Constellation Residences at Northstar, Martis 25, Home Run, and Trailside Loop.

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, also at mid-mountain is a 170 room luxury hotel which boasts a 17,000 square foot fitness center and spa and the Manzanita Restaurant whose head chef is Traci Des Jardins, celebrity chef from San Francisco.  This is the first and only 5-star hotel in the Truckee-Tahoe area.  The Ritz-Carlton also offers luxury residences known as the Ritz-Carlton Residences, 23 luxury Penthouse condominiums on both the 3rd floor and the 6th floor of the hotel.

The Village at Northstar, has much to offer all year long.  The ground level of the Village has an ice skating rink (roller rink in summer) and a mixture of boutique shops and wonderful restaurants.  The upper levels are one, two, three and four bedroom, large, luxurious condominiums. Amenities include an 18-hole golf course, a cross country ski center, a downhill ski area, swimming pool, saunas, spa, weight room, tennis courts, equestrian center, conference center, restaurants and shops.

Big Springs and Old Northstar Neighborhoods, are located at the entrance and along the base of the ski area. These neighborhoods include condominiums, town homes, and single family homes all with an HOA and clubhouse access as well as a shuttle service to the ski resort. Home owners in these neighborhoods are in the Northstar Property Owners Association which includes a a recreation center, the golf course, an on call shuttle service to and from the Village and ski area.
