Homewood

The West Shore Lake Tahoe area of Homewood is reminiscent of Old Tahoe.  It is located approximately  8 miles south of Tahoe City on Hwy 89.  The neighborhood offers mountain properties, classic cabins, craftsmen style homes and a local ski resort.  Homewood Mountain Ski Resort will be expanding starting in the summer of 2024 with on mountain homesites, an Alpine Village with a boutique hotel, condominiums, shops and restaurants making it comparable to the villages at Northstar and Olympic Valley (although smaller).  Beaches and piers dot the shoreline, and there are currently a few shops and restaurants on Highway 89 in Homewood, one of which is the very popular West Shore Café.  Obexer’s Boat Company in Homewood  is one of the oldest marinas at Lake Tahoe.
