Comstock Acres and Tahoe Woods

Comstock Acres, is the first neighborhood off of highway 89 towards the West Shore from Tahoe City. Comstock Acres is located on the river side of Highway 89 with a mix of full time residential homes and vacation homes. The neighborhood is relatively level with wider streets for easy winter access and backs to Granlibakken ski hill and some wonderful hiking and biking trails.

Tahoe Woods is located just south of Comstock acres on the river side of highway 89. This neighborhood has a more “woodsy” feel with narrower streets and many trees. This neighborhood backs the Talmont Estates neighborhood on the south.

Both neighborhoods are within walking distance of the Truckee River and Tahoe City, as well as Sunnyside and Tahoe Park and they both feature many hiking and biking trails. Tavern Shores, Tahoe Tavern and Granlibakken are all condominium complexes located in these two neighborhoods. The Tahoe Tree Company, New Moon Natural Foods market, and a local favorite, Tahoe House Bakery are all located within these neighborhoods.
