Two major storms inundated the Tahoe/Truckee region over the last weekend bringing high winds, torrential rain, power outages and snow at the higher elevations. Ski resorts are reporting two to four feet of new snow. I know for skiers there is nothing more important, but in the bigger picture it is water in Lake Tahoe. The lake’s natural rim is at 6,223 feet, and the current level is 6,222.75. We can hope that with the next storm, whenever it comes, water will start to trickle into the Truckee River once again.
