Mark your calendars for upcoming summer activities. The summer begins in Squaw Valley with the opening of the aerial tram on May 24th. Enjoy the view from High Camp at 8,200 feet and the many other available activities like High Sierra hiking, Disc Golf or lounging around the swimming pool. Also beginning on the 24th of May is the Made in Tahoe Festival. Not to be missed—this event features arts, music, food and culture. The Village at Squaw Valley will be filled with local artisans and sidewalk sales. A new community stage is available for performance artists. The festival begins on Saturday, May 24th at 11:00 am and continues to 7:00 pm on Sunday. Check this out by clicking on the link below.
For those of you who are ready for a challenge, the Ironman Training Camp begins on June 13th. The camp will accommodate triathletes of all levels and includes three days of training in swimming, cycling and running. Click on the Ironman link below to register online.
As June rolls around one of the highlights of the summer season is Bluesdays at Squaw. The concerts are held every Tuesday in June, July and August at High Camp and in the Village. Concerts begin on June 17, 2014, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Also available at this time are bargains on the Aerial Tram tickets and in the Village on food, retail and lodging. Plan ahead for Wanderlust beginning Friday, July 17th at 7:00 am and continuing until Sunday, July 20th at 11:00 pm. Take advantage of the beautiful venue at High Camp while you enjoy yoga in the sun and dancing under the stars. The best yoga instructors and wellness teachers have been invited for this event.
