In addition to the beach on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, proposed changes at Meeks Bay would include improvements to paths and trails, circulation and parking, establish restoration areas and improve scenic views. Existing buildings—decades old—will be upgraded along with access to them. The Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California hosted an open house to introduce the plans to the public.
