Baron Von Remmel and Friends will be the featured band at the “Salty” Gebhart Amphitheater in the Truckee River Regional Park on Wednesday, August 13th from 6:30 to 8pm. Von Remmel, a jazz saxophonist, is an accomplished musician with too many credits to list. If you read his bio you will be amazed. He is a 27-year resident of the Lake Tahoe area and is well known here. The band is a fun mix of blues, rock, and jazz.
This weekly summer outdoor concert series is free, and popular with locals and visitors alike. The amphitheater is landscaped and has a stage near the Truckee River with plenty of lawn seating. Bring your blankets, chairs, food and drinks to enjoy while listening to wonderful music. Many like to dance in the sandy area in front of the stage. Alcoholic beverages are allowed, but no pets or smoking.
Inclement weather has come into play this summer. You can call the Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District Office at 530-582-7720 up until 5:30 if the weather is a concern to confirm that the concert will go on.
