The Coldstream Specific Plan will be reviewed by the Truckee Town Council on Monday, August 25th at 6:00 pm. The proposed project submitted by Stonebridge Properties (a division of Teichert) will include residential units, commercial space, a public park, trails and open space/wetlands. It is located between Donner Memorial State Park and the Boulders at the entrance to the beautiful Coldstream Canyon. From the 1950s to the 1980s the 178-acre property was operated by Teichert for sand and gravel mining. With the submission of this plan the company has indicated its commitment to changing land that was previously disturbed by their mining operations into something that can be a useful part of the Town of Truckee with nature preserves and open spaces.
