Nestled at the base of Squaw Valley’s mountain is a friend and family-friendly festival you won’t want to miss- the annual Winter Wondergrass event March 31st to April 2nd, 2017. It’s a time for music, dancing, skiing, and local spirits with food!
Bluegrass and Acoustic Roots music will abound on three stages- the large outdoor arena, and two smaller stages inside the indoor heated beer tents. The event producer Bonfire Entertainment focuses on local sustainability and the arts, promoting both local and national talent. In addition to presenting partners (including the Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows resort where the event is held), there are a number of local non-profit partners that will receive the benefit of $1.00 of every ticket sale and 100% of the net proceeds of the bar sales.
The musical lineup is impressive, and groups will be playing consecutively on the three stages. Visit bars, food trucks, the Soapbox Cafe and Wine Bar, and of course, get out on the fabulous snow to enjoy your winter sports when not at the Festival. New for 2017 is a Thursday night kickoff concert that is free to attend, and a special 3-day lift pass for $199 when you purchase tickets for the event.
Tickets are moving fast, with the 3-day ‘Snowbird’ VIP passes already sold out. There are a limited number of 1-day passes along with standard 2-day and 3-day passes still available. Once they’re gone, they are gone… so get online and get yours ASAP.
