The first weekend in September will be a tasty one in Squaw Valley. Beer lovers will unite on the 3rd for the 27th Annual Foam Fest while those who appreciate the fine notes in a glass of wine will be converging on the valley for the Alpine Wine Festival on the 4th.
Foam Fest Coming on September 3rd at Squaw Valley
The ever-popular Foam Fest is a fun beer and music festival happening September 3. Now in its 27th year, the festival will offer the beer enthusiast 40 beers from fine breweries sharing their best blends, and a smooth live music lineup throughout the day. Tasty snacks and meals will be available to enjoy with your favorite brew, and lucky raffle winners will go home with ski gear or a California Gold pass.
Foam Fest will be held on the KY Sun Deck at Squaw Valley from 2-6pm. Children under 12 are free. Tickets are $30 in advance, and $35 the day of visit. Your admission gives you unlimited beer tastings. For those who choose not to imbibe, there is a visit-only ticket price of $10.
Proceeds go to Achieve Tahoe, a group who offers assistance for disabled people to learn adaptive sports which build confidence and health.
Alpen Wine Fest Coming September 4th at Squaw Valley
Wine, music and song! On September 4th the 28th Annual Alpen Wine Fest comes to Squaw Valley to feature wines from Northern California vineyards. From 2-5 PM for $40 (advance fee, $50 the day of the event) you will receive a crystal commemorative wine glass for tasting and have the opportunity to participate in silent auctions and raffles to win items such as local lodging, cases of unique wine, lift tickets, art or restaurant gift certificates.
Proceeds from the Alpen Wine Fest entry fee will support Can Do MS a non-profit organization that focuses on lifestyle empowerment programs for families and individuals living with MS.
