Tahoe in the fall is an amazing time to get into the woods, onto the lake, and onto your bike! There are also some great activities to keep the whole family entertained!
See the Fall Colors
Ride the River
Biking along the bike path down the Truckee River is a great fall activity because the bike path is less crowded and the colors are always spectacular.
Or Take a Hike
Tahoe is well known for its stunning peaks and beautiful lake but did you know that there is also an amazing fall color show each year in this part of the Sierra Nevads? I have complied a list of my favorite fall color hikes in the Tahoe Truckee area that are easily accessible to the whole family. Click HERE for the full list.
Check out the Scare Crows
Take an October stroll through downtown Tahoe City and check out this year’s scarecrows. Due to schools not being able to participate this year we would like to invite our community members to join in the Harvest time fun by making a scarecrow to display in town. For more information click HERE.
Kayak and Paddle board
October in Tahoe is a great time to kayak and paddle board because the lake is much calmer after most of the motorized boating is over for the summer. For kayak rentals check out Tahoe Paddle and Ore’s website HERE.
