Are you looking for activities in the North Tahoe Truckee area this month?
While we all know the skiing will be great, here are some great off the slope activities happening in February.
World Cup At Palisades Tahoe
February 23-25
Palisades Tahoe will host men’s slalom and giant slalom events on Dog Leg and Red Dog Face for the Audi FIS Ski World Cup circuit this season, The course, raced in 2017 for the women’s alpine event, is one Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin has described as “one of, if not the toughest” course venues on the women’s World Cup circuit.
Check out the course and the action from the base area, cheer on the world’s best athletes, catch outdoor concerts, fireworks, sponsor activations and more.
Snowshoeing
Tahoe Adventure Company offers guided snowshoe hikes both during the day and full moon and star gazing tours. You can even opt into a warm drink and a grommet lunch while getting some exercise and learning about the local flora and fauna from one of their experienced snowshoe guides. Check out their website for all of the info.
If you have your own equipment and are interested in going it solo I have complied a list of my six favorite snowshoe hikes HERE

Concerts at the Crystal Bay Club
The crystal Bay Resort and Casino located at State Line in Tahoe’s North Shore hosts a world class touring entertainment in two venues; the intimate (and free) Red Room and the famous Crown Room. The winter music line up at the Crystal Bay Club (referred to by locals as the CBC) is un paralled. Devil Dog Productions handles the event calendar and they always deliver on a variety of sounds from Hawaiian legends Hapa, to local 80’s cover band favorite Tainted Love, to string bands such as Big Sky Bluegrass, and Yonder Mountain String Band, to California jam band favorites such as ALO and String Cheese Incident. The CBC always has something great to offer. They are offering concerts this year with limited tickets and seated only.
