$3,500,000 has been approved by the Placer County Board of Supervisors for trail construction of the partially completed trail system in what is called the “Resort Triangle,” Truckee to Kings Beach to Tahoe City. Currently there are two completed paved sections; from the Legacy Trail in Truckee into Martis Valley toward Northstar and from Squaw Valley along the Truckee River and connecting with trail that goes from the top of Dollar Hill down the Westshore through Homewood to Meeks Bay. The goal is to have a paved trail connecting the whole triangle.
