Lake Forest

The Lake Forest neighborhood is located 1.5 miles east of Tahoe City on the lake side of Hwy 28.  With a mixture of quaint, small, older homes on small lots and beautiful older, but often remodeled, lakefront homes it is one of the very few remaining neighborhoods that is truly “Old Tahoe.”  Lake Forest Road is the old highway, so there is a small commercial core in the center of this neighborhood which is home to Bacchi’s Inn Italian Restaurant, a long time local favorite.  Great amenities; a wonderful walking neighborhood, the bike path to Tahoe City, Pomin Park (with children’s playground), Skylandia Park (with sandy beach and pier), Bristlecone Beach and the Public Boat Ramp.  There are two affordable condominium projects (one lakefront) that help make this the Vacation Destination for many North Shore of Lake Tahoe visitors.
