2015 Tour of California Winner Peter Sagan Brings Bike Event to Truckee

Peter Sagan along with Bike Monkey will host a three day gravel and dirt bike event called Sagan Fondo in Truckee May 3rd through May 5th.  The main event is a 67.5 mile race on dirt, gravel and paved roads passing several lakes through a beautiful mountain environment where participants will climb a total of 5,500 feet.  Saturday will be here will be a party in Truckee with vendors and live music.  Click on the Sagan Fondo link below for a race map and more details.

The three day event will start on Thursday, May 3rd with fund raising dinner mid-mountain at Northstar, to benefit a local Truckee Charity, Adventure Risk Challenge, a leadership and literacy program for underserved youth.  Friday, May 4th Peter will lead a ride and and then have lunch with sponsors and top fund raisers. 

For those of you not familiar with Peter Sagan, he is a very famous bike rider.  Five time points classification winner in the Tour de France, three time  World Champion, winner of the 2015 Tour of California, and winner of the 2017 UCI World Road Race Championships, to name a few of his accomplishments.  It is an honor to have him come to Truckee to sponsor an event like this.
