Truckee Thursdays is in it’s final two weeks. One of the most popular weekly summer events in the area, it is held in historic downtown Truckee from 5-9 pm. The street is closed off to make way for a street fair with a wide variety of vendors. Local artists are in abundance and the shops are open late as well. Food is plentiful with many options to choose from. Morgan’s Lobster Roll is a personal favorite, followed by a frozen chocolate-covered coconut bar for dessert.
Live music in the beer garden is a huge draw, and this weeks band, Down North, will bring a party-rocking mix of Rock and Soul that will surely have the crowd moving. This up and coming young band is not to be missed. Beer, wine, and mixed drinks are available in the garden area, and there are tables and chairs provided to enjoy your food and drink.
This event is another family pleaser, and includes a kids area, as well as a Farmer’s Market with a variety of local produce. Dogs are also welcome and plentiful. Bring the whole family and enjoy this fun evening in beautiful downtown Truckee.
