Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival hosts the Monday Night Showcase featuring the Sierra Nevada Ballet. The performance takes place at 7:30 pm, Monday, July 28th, at Sand Harbor State Park. Swan Lake is one of the earliest and most famous ballets. This coming-of-age story is filled with bravery, devotion, seduction, sorcery and drama. Prince Sigfried is profoundly changed when he meets Odette, a princess turned into a swan by malevolent forces. This classic ballet has been designed to appeal to modern audiences. The full-length story unfolds in two acts, rather than four. For more information about this program, check out the article in the Sierra Sun and the Shakespeare Festival website.
