• The holiday festivities begin at 4:00 pm on July 3rd at the North Tahoe Events Center in Kings Beach where an all-day beach party featuring food, beer and wine vendors culminates with fireworks over Lake Tahoe. A variety of activities for all members of your family will be held including a free watermelon eating contest, sand-castle building and more. • The Firecracker Mile Fun Run, starting at 9:45 am on the 4th, is the opening event in Truckee’s celebration. It is followed by the 4th of July parade from the Truckee Firehouse to Historic Downtown Truckee. Festivities begin at 10:00 am and continue until 12:30 pm. The 4th of July Fireworks will be at West End Beach on Donner Lake and begin at dark. Bring your family and friends, and a blanket to enjoy the spectacular display over the Lake. • Tahoe City is hosting a 4th of July Street Faire and Fireworks Show on Commons Beach in downtown. Featured activities include a climbing wall, dunk tank, games and much more. Bring your picnic and a blanket to enjoy the fireworks on the beach. Check out Tahoe City’s web page for a complete description.
• Red, White and Tahoe Blue Fireworks in Incline Village. The fireworks on July 4th follow a day full of events including a parade, rubber ducky races, wine & cheese, beer & brats, community fair, ice cream social and more. Concerts feature the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra on the 4th and Billy Ray Cyrus on the 5th. For safety reason, due to expected large crowds, access for Fireworks viewing from the Incline Village beaches will not be available to the general public, however the rest of the activities are open to anyone. • The West Shore Café is celebrating the Fourth of July featuring live music by Ike and Martin on the waterfront deck from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm as well as a barbecue from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. After dark observe the fireworks from the deck and receive complimentary s’mores from 8:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Click on the West Shore Café link for a menu.
• Enjoy the fireworks on the Tahoe Gal. The cruise departs at 7:00 pm and begins with delicious California Cuisine. As the light fades away, what better place could you find to await the spectacular fireworks over the water at Commons Beach. An extra bonus is you can also see many of the other fire works that are going off at the same time. Make your reservations early before the cruise fills up.
