The New Snow at Squaw and Alpine is Great

Five feet of new snow on the upper elevations at both Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows has saved the North Tahoe-Truckee ski season.  I skied at Squaw today and it was great to finally be able to ski something other than groomed runs on man made snow!  I spent most of my time on Granite Chief where the coverage was good with mostly soft winter snow.  It really is so different than a week ago.  Click on this Squaw Valley video to see the coverage.
